Used equipment terms

Buying and selling
Used equipment is listed by Reformer Connect customers. Each listing identifies whether the seller is a private individual or a business. Sellers must own the equipment, have the right to sell it and describe its condition honestly, including faults, missing parts and safety concerns. Only list equipment you can make available for collection.
Reformer Connect is operated by FLYING PENGUIN AI LIMITED, company number 17107961, Unit 5 High Hazles Road, Cotgrave, Nottingham, NG12 3GZ. We operate the website and handle the website payment and payment support. The named seller provides the equipment and is responsible for the accuracy of the listing and arranging collection.
Photos and reviews
Upload your own equipment photographs with permission to publish them. Do not include receipts, addresses, bank details or people who have not consented. Listings are reviewed before becoming public. That review does not certify ownership, working condition or equipment safety. A changed listing needs a new review.
Price and seller fee
Listing is free. When an item sells through the website, Reformer Connect takes 10% of the equipment price, rounded to the nearest penny. Stripe’s actual payment processing charge is deducted from the seller’s remaining 90%. For a £1,000 sale, our fee is £100 and the seller receives £900 less Stripe’s processing charge. The exact Stripe charge depends on the payment and is shown in the order once confirmed. Buyers pay the equipment price shown at checkout.
Seller payments
Sellers complete Stripe’s identity and payout checks before their equipment can be bought. Bank and verification details are entered directly into Stripe. Reformer Connect retains the payment until the buyer confirms collection. After confirmation, we deduct our 10% and Stripe’s actual processing charge, then transfer the balance to the seller’s connected Stripe account. Stripe’s payout schedule and verification determine when it reaches the seller’s bank. If collection is disputed or cannot be confirmed, contact us for review. This is not an escrow service.
Collection and condition
Collection is arranged between buyer and seller. Check dimensions, access, dismantling, transport, lifting requirements, included accessories and all condition notes before paying. Do not assume the seller offers delivery or installation. Keep collection arrangements in the order messages and confirm collection in your account after receiving the equipment.
A seller’s description is not a safety inspection. Do not use unsafe equipment. You can request an independent pre-purchase inspection through our service network.
Cancellations, refunds and problems
If you have a problem, contact experts@reformerconnect.co.uk promptly with the order reference. Do not arrange a separate payment or refund outside the website for an order paid here. We review payment and collection problems with the buyer and seller. An equipment listing is not a guarantee that we have inspected or approved its condition.
Rights depend on whether you buy from a private seller or a business seller. Buying from a business can carry additional consumer rights, including cancellation rights where applicable. These terms do not remove your statutory rights. Business sellers must honour the legal rights that apply to their sales.
Approved refunds go back through Stripe to the original payment method. Seller proceeds may be recovered or adjusted to reflect refunds or payment disputes. Stripe may retain its original processing charges even when a payment is refunded. We will explain any adjustment when reviewing the order. If you are a seller, you must cooperate with enquiries and provide accurate evidence of condition and collection.
Your account and information
Use an active customer account. Engineers use their service portal and cannot sell through this customer feature. Private sellers’ public listings show their first name, seller type, town and postcode area, not their full address or private equipment records. Business sellers also publish their supplied business name, business address, contact email and returns information. Buyer and seller can see the other party’s name and account email after payment to arrange collection. We retain the order, agreed listing and payment audit where needed to operate the sale and handle enquiries.
We may refuse or remove inaccurate, unsafe, unlawful or misleading listings, or restrict accounts while we investigate a problem. Read our privacy policy and general website terms alongside these terms.
